Police Find 21 Rocks Of Cocaine On Womans Body

A Charleston woman was arrested after police found crack cocaine in her East End apartment.

Charleston police were dispatched Sunday to an apartment building in the 1400 block of Quarrier Street to investigate after neighbors reported a loud disturbance coming from one of the apartments. Officers went to the unit occupied by Ashley Blair Dixon, 21, and noticed the odor of burnt marijuana when the woman opened the door, according to a complaint filed in Kanawha Magistrate Court.

Officers standing at the door also spotted razor blades and a set of digital scales sitting on the living room table. They asked Dixon to search her home, which she allowed.

Before officers began, they asked Dixon if she had anything hidden on her body. Police said Dixon hesitated then grabbed her left breast, looked at it several times, then told officers she needed to give them something.

Dixon told officers she had some crack in her bra and handed the officers a sandwich bag containing 21 rocks of cocaine. She told officers the crack wasn't hers and that it belonged to her boyfriend. That man, identified only as Ibu, and his friend Terrell White told police they had no knowledge of the crack. They were not arrested.

Police did not find any more drugs when they searched the home, but did find small paper bags with marijuana leaves printed on them that Dixon said was for marijuana.

Dixon was taken into custody and has been charged with possession of crack cocaine with intent to deliver.
